THE PLAYS

My Dog Has Stripes

Case workers meet to discuss their patients, unaware that one of their team is in need of help.

This play adressess depression and mental illness – conditions which, if talked about more openly, would help reduce the stigma often associated with them. A discussion forum follows the performance.

The play‘s laughs tame the black dog: by making people laugh, it creates a different way people can appreciate the health issue.

The audience engaged well with the play and were keen to learn more about our local services. It was also a wonderful springboard to discuss other areas of mental illness.
